JAMES BOND – CROCKETT AND JONES SHOES IN SKYFALL

Amidst the excitement of the most recent James Bond installment this past weekend, it is quite suiting to discuss the shoes Daniel Craig wore in SKYFALL.   It is not only the suit that dresses the man!  Any shoe worn by Bond must be of truly extraordinary quality as well as timeless style with durability to withstand his adventures whether through the rough terrain of Scotland or on motorbike above Istanbul’s rooftops all the while decked out in the most classic and serious attire (including custom Tom Ford) from head to toe. The Islay derby boot below, with a wing tip design in scotch grain leather, was worn by Daniel Craig for the scenes taken in the Highlands of Glencoe, Scotland.

Crockett and Jones, founded in 1879, represent England’s  history of fine craftsmanship in shoe-making.  Specializing in superior quality Goodyear welted footwear, the precision of the rubber sole melded onto the leather can be seen in the photo of the Islay above. The ‘Dainite’ rubber soles, have storm welts for water resistance.

Crockett and Jones Tetbury In Black Nubuck

Paired with his elegant and classic Tom Ford Suit in light gray for the adrenaline racing opening scene in Turkey, Bond wore the Tetbury chukka boot in black antique nubuck.

There were four styles of Crockett and Jones shoes styles worn throughout the movie. The two styles not shown here are the Alex, a beautiful plain shoe with single eyelets, and the Highbury derby in black calf leather.

The styles in the photos above were taken at the BARNEYS 5th Avenue store in New York. Gratitude to the men’s department for their gracious assistance.
