Be a Little Daring this Autumn In Red Shoes!

Red is certainly in style this autumn and what better way to accessorize than with classic red shoes. Personally I have always been hesitant to wear a pair of red shoes but ended up finding a pair of red sandals while in Italy recently and really enjoyed stepping out of my element. Not to mention, a lovely way to re-launch Fabulous Soles. I have not disappeared and intend to expand with more features and ways for readers to interact. I have missed writing and love sharing my fabulous soles and the many more I discover along the way.

Especially with black being such a staple in any woman’s closet, a pair of red shoes can be a fabulous way to add a sexy but classic feminine feel to a rather simple look if chosen carefully. I have selected an array of eye catching red heels for a woman that is not afraid to be noticed.

These Moschino Patent Leather Pumps are a pretty and feminine. Eye catching with a large ribbon and a narrow 3 1/2 inch heel. A great choice to add character and a vintage touch to that always versatile black dress.

The Tabitha Simmons Carrie exudes a Victorian element with a modern platform. Intricate detail, scalloped trim and ruching on a narrow but rounded toe. Romantic in a deep red suede. I had not been familiar with her shoes until now and am immersed in the Victorian boots I see for winter. Very inspiring at the least.

Prada never disappoints and these platform pumps in a luxurious wine colored suede make me feel a little daring.  With a pink python platform and curved stem, a serious but exotic and adventurous heel.

Joan and David “Jora” Pumps in a cardinal red suede are flirtatious and delicate. I would not suggest wearing these shoes all day because of the narrow heel and pointed toe but for the right occasion they are a stunning shoe day or evening worn with a suit or more casual dress.

These Edmund Castillo suede pumps will surely make you stand taller at 5 1/4 inches and are a more subtle shade of red. A great evening shoe for fall into winter whether worn with back tights or denim.

I came across this red suede “Lock Purse” from Topshop. A suiting accessory to pair with a pair of red soles at a desirable price.

NARS Trans Siberian is a deep red that can transform your look with very little makeup otherwise. Some days a woman just feels like wearing red lipstick and it feels good!

Step out of your element and try on a pair of red soles! You might enjoy it and while you will not wear them every day, RED is classic and timeless.

Passionate Purple Soles for a Fearless Autumn

Although there is still some time to wear our sandals, the crisp cool air of chilly mornings and shorter days is gradually approaching. While earth tones are always a staple for fall, I have recently been drawn to the deep luscious tone of purple. Purple suede truly adds an subtle element of luxurious and warmth while still managing to make a BOLD statement!  Purple, plum, eggplant, violet, raspberry…………mmmmmm

This time of year can often relate to a new beginning and fresh thoughts. My mind has been faced with much that has forced me to question my decisions, past and present. Recognizing that life can be confusing and some moments and uncertainties are hard to put into prospective, holding onto self doubt or guilt is not very effective I must try to remind myself!

I will strive to recognize my weaknesses and strengths and to focus on reaching higher and seek opportunities to do what I truly want and be rewarded. Even more to embrace moments and people that are so precious to enter our lives and make us feel alive or smile gallantly on any given day. While being cautious in life is smart, let’s not question ourselves as much. Maybe this is coming from my conscious but I believe this can relate to many aspects of our lives.

I found these Kate Spade lace up heelsabove, with contrasting lizard embossed leather and enchanting deep purple suede to be captivating. These open toe heels are quite perfect to wear right now whether on a still warm September day or paired with jeans or a skirt and a cardigan for a sexy and edgier look.

I don’t normally show handbags but thought it would be fun! This Marc Jacobs satchelis just lovely. Soft supple leather in a glimmering currant.

In LOVE with these Embroidered Suede Booties!

Tibi booties in red suede with black embroidery are simply gorgeous and classy. I wasn’t going to post anything today but when I browsed an email from GILT and came across these beauties I was in awe.  In midnight blue as well, I must say that red (at endless.com) could not be any more precious. Trendy and fun with the open toe and a bit of an exotic feel with  the black floral stitching. The Anastasia is a head turner for sure. Wouldn’t it be fabulous to wear these with a pair of skinny jeans or tights and a black skirt…!?

Gorgeous Green Heels – Soft Emeralds Heal the Heart

Classic and sophisticated, these Charles David pumps in emerald green suede are beautiful for winter into spring. The soft deep green emits a feeling of warmth and can contrast well with lovely winter whites, black or grays.  I have a tendency to elaborate on the feeling that the color and shilouette of a heel emits. This is particularly true of emerald. Purple Pumps in Sultry Textures – Seductive…Daring…Spontaneous

Salvatore Ferragamo pumps in deep, smoky hues of purple are not meant to be ordinary in my mind at least.  As 2010 begins, I have personally acknowledged that spontaneous moments of joy and excitement can simply add that extra step to our soles leaving you slightly reenergized and awakened.  When I saw these embossed leather pumps, they represent such a feeling to be strong and sometimes daring. I recognize that certain moments and connections do not come along often and many of those in our lives are there for certain reasons.  More or less, whether it is a chance to relax in the presence of beautiful surroundings alone or with someone you who makes you feel special, my thought is to not take things as forgranted. Also, lets acknowledge our sexiness and be proud of who we are! Sliding these Ferragamos on makes me want to shine and well goes well with my recently deep almost red hair… I’m feeling this color for sure.

These black suede platform Salvatore Ferragamos with an embedded platform and gold heel are another daring pump. I believe simple gold accents add that special touch of glamour.  Sultry and bold, I found these both at polyvore.com and LUISAVIAROMA.COM. 

Once again Ferragamos, a more suttle rosette peep toe pump in soft garnet red leather. Sexy but sophisticated with a 3 3/4 inch metallic two tone heel and italian made leather throughout.  A great heel for winter into spring, the Livrea is lovely.

Going back to the Put a Bow on It theme…. Stuart Weitzman’s “Backpage” peep toe pump with a layered bow in hues of blue, purple and eggplant in soft suede with a stilletto heel are feminine and fun. The contrasting platform really adds a nice element!
Lets start this New Year off in a sexy mood ladies and strut those soles whichever way makes you move with strengh and positive energy!

Love my Via Spiga Slouch Boots!

These are my Via Spiga Flat Slouch boots. I got these last year after Christmas because I realized it was just not healthy for my foot to wear my lovely but narrow leather pointed toe knee high boots every day. Alternating from flat to heels every few days is a swell idea. At first I wasn’t so crazy about them but I have grown to love them for their fun look and comfort as well as the many compliments I have gotten wearing them. Whether with jeans on the weekend, a skirt or a sweater dress these have proved to be a versatile boot with style.  (Thanks to my co-worker Ella for being a great photagrapher during our lunchtime excursion to Columbus Cirlce!)
Here is a Via Spiga, the Parley slouch boot with a similar look but in black suede with a moderate 3 1/2 ” heel and hidden platform.  The scrunched leather is wider than the average boot and leaves more room to breathe from morning to night on these long winter days.  I found these at Piperlime.com. Royally Blue Sultry Suede

These Steve Maddens popped right out at me as I spotted them inside Footnotes, a great shoe boutique in Englewood, NJ and most importatnly at footnotesonline.com. Although, the wide array of Stuart Weitzman’s laid out for their fall trunk show awakened my senses with excitement and admiration, the Tyller is not only vibrant in a royal blue but a scrunched flat boot is a superb shoe to look and feel fabulous with skinny jeans or a dress while giving those hard working soles a break from the heels we also adore.  I will share that I am appreciating the beauty of the flat boot with sincerity now as I deal with a strained arch on my precious left sole from running. At a price point of $80 this boot is a swell find!

Similarly fabulous and sultry I must add are the Polini slouch boot and mid calf flat boot above in a deeper hue of blue. Above, found again at Footnotes for only $150, the bow detail and silver loop hole adds a sense of feminity and personality.  Below, found at ShopStyle.com, this boot in a narrow toe is shiek and sophisticated. Renowned for their riding boots and superior leather with added detail, I am glad I came across this designer.

These Soles Are Full of Love!

Pura Lopez peep toe pumps in a lush deep red with a scrunched rosette emanate elegance! Surely a reason to dress to impress with utmost style for the winter festivities whether attending a fancy affair or low key event in denim.  A line of Spanish design crafted with quality materials, these heels are full of life with an allure of romanticism in mind.  I am led to envision a moment of true affection from the gentlemen who holds my desire.  Wow! This is fantastical! Seems there is a connection between beautifully designed Spanish heels and handsome men such as the alluring Javier Bardem in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

I was gravitated toward Pura Lopez after purusing shuzsociety.com, a fabulous site for those of us who have a sole addiction, which was brought to my attention while attending the book signing of Felicia Coley’s “How to Stylishly Fall from Grace”, the inspirational blogger of The Well Heeled Society. A lovely event for sure.

Black Suede with a Touch of Gold….

Jimmy Choos with gold eyelets in rich suede leather with a pointy heel.  I adore the edginess and sleek appeal of these amazing boots.  Extemely sexy and not too bold at the same time.  Would love to wear this on a fun Saturday night with some long gold earings!  It has run through my mind recently that sometimes there is nothing better than a black ensemble with amazing boots paired with some gold jewelry and a smile.
