Summer is just about here and nude sandals are a great choice for almost any summer ensemble whether a dress, pencil skirt or skinny jeans! Im wearing a BCBG MaxAzria dress with Cantini and Cantini sandals that I bought at ShoeInn, a boutique in NY, NJ and Florida which carries a decent selection of Italian made shoes.  The ankle straps paired with a narrow but not too narrow stem and thin platform for cushioning make the shoes so easy to walk in. I tried on several styles in similar hues and these shoes not only fit best but after walking around for an hour were quite comfortable as well. I have a fairly wide foot and do not feel the pressure that can result from a narrower shoe. A truly versatile shoe in a subdued tone that still makes a statement!

Below are two more ankle strap sandals I have selected in different shades.

Prada ankle stap sandals in a peachy nude tone leather are chic and sexy while an almost perfect summer high heeled sandal! I particularly believe that gold hardware adds a more glamorous element to almost any shoe and this is a great example. Also, as with my shoes above, the stem on these is also not too narrow. Pradas are meant for walking!

To the right, are a pair of L.K. Bennett wrap around patent leather platform sandals in traditional nude beige. A lovely sandal from Kate Middleton’s favorite Spanish made line. Eye catching with a 4 inch heel while classic and sophisticated and known for their comfort as well.

Get ready for summer and keep your heels on!

Running shoes are ultimately the most important shoes in my closet. Although I only use them to run and well they never end up in the closet because I wear them often! These are my new Nike Air Pegasus 28 with bright pink soles. The color scheme is out of the ordinary for my style but it is growing on me. I think I like them better than the blue version of the same shoe I posted a while back. I can say quite confidently that while many women find a pink heel to be so much fun, this is as far as I’ll go. I had planned to design a pair of Nike Ids in green and yellow with Fabulous Soles on the front but I think that will wait till next time. Five weeks felt like a while to wait. Spring is that time of year when we can start running outside more often and run further and get fresh air. Hence a suitable time to sport some new shoes.

While I had tried a lighter running shoe in the fall, I went back to the Nike Pegasus series.  They just seem to have great cushioning and also fit a wider foot. The Saucony Kinvara’s below are very lightweight and still have more cushioning than a minimalist shoe but after a while my neuroma prone feet needed more support. I may alternate if want that extra light feeling some days.

I can’t say how much I love to run along the beach! This was at Quogue Beach in Westhampton at the end of the summer last year. I had not been there before but just kept running from a friends house and found the beach. Whenever I go anywhere new that is one way I explore. Just run and you will discover new landscapes and get exercise too. In the day of GPS, what can go wrong!? Also, after running I think you might feel even more fabulous in your heels!

Spring is here and it’s time to take out those heels that have been hiding in your closet but also try something new! This time of year can represent a breathe of fresh air.  I spend a good part of the winter in my black leather boots and tights (which I am sure many other ladies can relate with) so the gradually warmer air gets me excited to walk outside in the morning.  While it is not quite time to walk barefoot in the sand, you can more comfortably throw on a pair of skinny jeans and pumps or add an accent of color to a classic little black dress with shoes in a bright color for a more eye catching look.

Bright colors are surely making a presence this spring and luxurious blue in soft textures have caught my eye. The shades are bright and bold but soft and sophisticated. I felt compelled to feature classic pumps for those more formal occasions along with platform sandals which are fun and flirtatious.

Whether you are truly feeling blue on the inside or want to make a statement and add a less flashy bright hue to your shoe collection, take a chance and add strut along in a pair of navy blue or royal blue heels!

J-Crew Lucca-Suede Sandals with gold buckles and moderate 2″ heel. Great for walking but not too casual. Im thinking of getting these sandals quite soon as the weather warms up. I love the way simplicity with a touch of gold.

Sam Edelman Tacoma, a platform peep-toe pump with the flared heel that was a trend I first noticed on Prada in the fall. I was not crazy about the heel at first but think it may be growing on me. The wider stem is a more stable heel for those long days.

Aldo Fravel pump in royal blue is a classic pump with a skinny stem. A fun heel to wear with a pencil skirt!

These shoes are a classic pump in a deep wine red that will make you want to Fall in love while wearing them.

While I feel being able to believe in love regardless of past experiences is precious, I am no expert in love and matters of the heart. What i can affirm though is whether romance is in the air or not, the smooth ganache of a La Maison du Chocolat Champagne truffle is truly divine. I would not quite call it a love potion but an aphrodisiac with a sensual effect that can leave a woman walking in her heels with a flushed visage. Trust me!! (Gentlemen, take note!)

I have learned about Souls4Soles over the past year or so and felt that while myself and many shoe aficionados are obsessed with finding the most suitable shoes for every occasion it would be great to also share the love of shoes by advocating the message of a great cause. Classic Wool Fedora and Tamara Pogosian Halter Dress

I have recently not only been perpetually inspired and find myself immersed in finding the most suitable and superior shoe of the moment but have been lured into the world of hats. Not to say that I was not fond of them before but there is something about adorning your head with a classic vintage fedora that feels superbly but subtly sexy. Well I will surely be compelled to feature more hats moving forward ( I see a collection forming).

Above, was a photo from New Year’s Eve wearing a Tamara Pogosian blue silk halter dress and a classic fedora with gold chain accents. I think blue is a color that works well with blondes or brunettes alike. This dress is great because it would work well for any season. For summer I would just pair a strappy gold sandal.

I had wanted to find an evening shoe that had a little shimmer and more importantly contrasted well with the deep blue. Below are Badgley Mischka peep toe pumps in a soft pink fabric. I must say that these were quite comfortable to wear for the whole night. A heel that can be worn again whether with denim and a blazer in the spring or for a more formal occasion in the winter. Below are some more heels in glimmering gold and metallic hues which would pair well with almost any color including rich burgundy or a warm eggplant.

A shoe that not only complements your style for the occasion but also makes you feel daring and glamorous is priceless. 

Especially with black being such a staple in any woman’s closet, a pair of red shoes can be a fabulous way to add a sexy but classic feminine feel to a rather simple look if chosen carefully. I have selected an array of eye catching red heels for a woman that is not afraid to be noticed.

These Moschino Patent Leather Pumps are a pretty and feminine. Eye catching with a large ribbon and a narrow 3 1/2 inch heel. A great choice to add character and a vintage touch to that always versatile black dress.

The Tabitha Simmons Carrie exudes a Victorian element with a modern platform. Intricate detail, scalloped trim and ruching on a narrow but rounded toe. Romantic in a deep red suede. I had not been familiar with her shoes until now and am immersed in the Victorian boots I see for winter. Very inspiring at the least.

Prada never disappoints and these platform pumps in a luxurious wine colored suede make me feel a little daring.  With a pink python platform and curved stem, a serious but exotic and adventurous heel.

Joan and David “Jora” Pumps in a cardinal red suede are flirtatious and delicate. I would not suggest wearing these shoes all day because of the narrow heel and pointed toe but for the right occasion they are a stunning shoe day or evening worn with a suit or more casual dress.

These Edmund Castillo suede pumps will surely make you stand taller at 5 1/4 inches and are a more subtle shade of red. A great evening shoe for fall into winter whether worn with back tights or denim.

I came across this red suede “Lock Purse” from Topshop. A suiting accessory to pair with a pair of red soles at a desirable price.

NARS Trans Siberian is a deep red that can transform your look with very little makeup otherwise. Some days a woman just feels like wearing red lipstick and it feels good!

Step out of your element and try on a pair of red soles! You might enjoy it and while you will not wear them every day, RED is classic and timeless.

The consensus in the markets continues that gold is a great investment throughout these tumultuous times.  So let’s not give in to all our sole desires but I think it’s safe to say that precious metals for our soles are an investment in style!

Although there is still some time to wear our sandals, the crisp cool air of chilly mornings and shorter days is gradually approaching. While earth tones are always a staple for fall, I have recently been drawn to the deep luscious tone of purple. Purple suede truly adds an subtle element of luxurious and warmth while still managing to make a BOLD statement!  Purple, plum, eggplant, violet, raspberry…………mmmmmm

This time of year can often relate to a new beginning and fresh thoughts. My mind has been faced with much that has forced me to question my decisions, past and present. Recognizing that life can be confusing and some moments and uncertainties are hard to put into prospective, holding onto self doubt or guilt is not very effective I must try to remind myself!

I will strive to recognize my weaknesses and strengths and to focus on reaching higher and seek opportunities to do what I truly want and be rewarded. Even more to embrace moments and people that are so precious to enter our lives and make us feel alive or smile gallantly on any given day. While being cautious in life is smart, let’s not question ourselves as much. Maybe this is coming from my conscious but I believe this can relate to many aspects of our lives.

I found these Kate Spade lace up heelsabove, with contrasting lizard embossed leather and enchanting deep purple suede to be captivating. These open toe heels are quite perfect to wear right now whether on a still warm September day or paired with jeans or a skirt and a cardigan for a sexy and edgier look.

I don’t normally show handbags but thought it would be fun! This Marc Jacobs satchelis just lovely. Soft supple leather in a glimmering currant.
