Valentine’s Day is meant to represent love and romance and expressing those feelings. A woman would always be glad to receive a gift but deep down the best moments are gestures of affection and time spent with that special someone. I find a man cooking dinner to be incredibly sexy!

While I feel being able to believe in love regardless of past experiences is precious, I am no expert in love and matters of the heart. What i can affirm though is whether romance is in the air or not, the smooth ganache of a La Maison du Chocolat Champagne truffle is truly divine. I would not quite call it a love potion but an aphrodisiac with a sensual effect that can leave a woman walking in her heels with a flushed visage. Trust me!! (Gentlemen, take note!)

Sharing is Caring with Souls4Soles

I have learned about Souls4Soles over the past year or so and felt that while myself and many shoe aficionados are obsessed with finding the most suitable shoes for every occasion it would be great to also share the love of shoes by advocating the message of a great cause. Souls4Soles collects shoes which are provided to victims of devastated countries and disaster regions like Katrina in addition to micro-business initiatives in poverty stricken countries.  Every dollar donated goes toward a pair of shoes!!

You can also donate your used shoes of any kind to a location in your area. I recently realized that I had a box of running hoes piling up as well as some basic black pumps which I will know I will not wear. Create space in your closet and give back by donating your shoes to Souls4Soles.

Running shoes from over the past few years. Used to wear Asics but quite true to Nikes now! Surely put miles on these but could be valuable to someone without any shoes! “Just Do it”!

Glamorous Gold and Fedora Love

I have recently not only been perpetually inspired and find myself immersed in finding the most suitable and superior shoe of the moment but have been lured into the world of hats. Not to say that I was not fond of them before but there is something about adorning your head with a classic vintage fedora that feels superbly but subtly sexy. Well I will surely be compelled to feature more hats moving forward ( I see a collection forming).

Above, was a photo from New Year’s Eve wearing a Tamara Pogosian blue silk halter dress and a classic fedora with gold chain accents. I think blue is a color that works well with blondes or brunettes alike. This dress is great because it would work well for any season. For summer I would just pair a strappy gold sandal.

I had wanted to find an evening shoe that had a little shimmer and more importantly contrasted well with the deep blue. Below are Badgley Mischka peep toe pumps in a soft pink fabric. I must say that these were quite comfortable to wear for the whole night. A heel that can be worn again whether with denim and a blazer in the spring or for a more formal occasion in the winter. Below are some more heels in glimmering gold and metallic hues which would pair well with almost any color including rich burgundy or a warm eggplant.

Be a Little Daring this Autumn In Red Shoes!

Red is certainly in style this autumn and what better way to accessorize than with classic red shoes. Personally I have always been hesitant to wear a pair of red shoes but ended up finding a pair of red sandals while in Italy recently and really enjoyed stepping out of my element. Not to mention, a lovely way to re-launch Fabulous Soles. I have not disappeared and intend to expand with more features and ways for readers to interact. I have missed writing and love sharing my fabulous soles and the many more I discover along the way.

Especially with black being such a staple in any woman’s closet, a pair of red shoes can be a fabulous way to add a sexy but classic feminine feel to a rather simple look if chosen carefully. I have selected an array of eye catching red heels for a woman that is not afraid to be noticed.

These Moschino Patent Leather Pumps are a pretty and feminine. Eye catching with a large ribbon and a narrow 3 1/2 inch heel. A great choice to add character and a vintage touch to that always versatile black dress.

The Tabitha Simmons Carrie exudes a Victorian element with a modern platform. Intricate detail, scalloped trim and ruching on a narrow but rounded toe. Romantic in a deep red suede. I had not been familiar with her shoes until now and am immersed in the Victorian boots I see for winter. Very inspiring at the least.

Prada never disappoints and these platform pumps in a luxurious wine colored suede make me feel a little daring.  With a pink python platform and curved stem, a serious but exotic and adventurous heel.

Joan and David “Jora” Pumps in a cardinal red suede are flirtatious and delicate. I would not suggest wearing these shoes all day because of the narrow heel and pointed toe but for the right occasion they are a stunning shoe day or evening worn with a suit or more casual dress.

These Edmund Castillo suede pumps will surely make you stand taller at 5 1/4 inches and are a more subtle shade of red. A great evening shoe for fall into winter whether worn with back tights or denim.

I came across this red suede “Lock Purse” from Topshop. A suiting accessory to pair with a pair of red soles at a desirable price.

NARS Trans Siberian is a deep red that can transform your look with very little makeup otherwise. Some days a woman just feels like wearing red lipstick and it feels good!

Step out of your element and try on a pair of red soles! You might enjoy it and while you will not wear them every day, RED is classic and timeless.

Precious Gold n Platinum Shoe Therapy

Gold or silver hues in any material or texture not only add a touch of glamour to any shoe but most of all can be worn with almost anything. The Joan and David quarter strap sandals above are no exception. In metallic pewter with leather soles, they are a great find. I must add that these two photos are mine as I did give in to the temptation and love them! We should all have a pair of gold and silver heels!!
Although it is often my nature to express the sex appeal or feeling of lust associated with shoes that make us radiate throughout I will confess that my emotions are out of sync. Maybe I have become jaded or possibly more in tune with my instincts and conscious of how I feel. I suppose when events in life that we could not have prepared for test our strength and ability to take on new roles, what we value in life can become more clear. Some little things just do not matter as much. Life moves too fast and I am less in doubt of what I want. I am not saying that whether in love or any pursuits what we want will come easy but even if we do not know or have discovered all that we want in life, recognizing what we do not want seems to be easier. 
Maybe this is a turning point, a quarter life crisis of sorts forcing me to face challenges and make decisions. Being honest with ourselves and other is not always an easy task. It sure is stressing me out. For a woman, these times call for Shoe Therapy: emotional shoe trips. On that note, although I did not purchase the Vera Wang Lavender peep toe platform pumps, they are very comfortable.  I walked around in them for a while as I probably would not have even tried them on if it weren’t for my emotional 30 minute excursion from all that has been on my mind. No I did not buy these, BUT i got a taste, and despite being proud of my decision to not make an emotional purchase, I surely perked up a bit and no guilt for making an impulse purchase. I absolutely recommend them. 

I hope everyone enjoys my selection of heels in tones of precious metals to be worn whenever you want. No special occasion needed.

Springtime Euphoria…. Tempting our Souls!

These Manolo Blahniks in a deep plum orchid are the type of shoe that can enliven a woman’s mood, spurring a radiant glow as we slide them on. A crafted sexy wooden heel with scalloped soft leather, a work of art to adorn our soles. While this heel is also available in black, the orchid captivated me and has such a vivid feel. It may not be a coincidence that purple orchids, reminding us of exotic tropical locales are of one of my favorite flowers.
I most often refer to this glow and energy which we can attribute to shoes or rather art as a so called euphoria.  You know… that elated feeling that causes us to forget for a short period of time about the stresses and mounting agenda reverberating through our minds. I know I am not the only one to confess that shoes can sometimes make us feel better. This is not an exaggeration. Whether that cold that is making us want to nap or perplexed confusion caused by men’s communication skills, they can truly put you in a better state of mind. Let’s not misconstrue, many days or moments don’t call for a shoe of such stature. While my red house slippers, nikes, pumas, suede pumps, or leather boots are so dear, some shoes can make us feel alive. A rush of sorts which I will dare to associate with first kissing a man that makes us all warm inside and out with a surge in energy regardless of how little sleep we have had. Alright well, surely no substitute for the touch of a man’s hands on a woman’s back but they will make us feel alive and glowing wherever we choose to wear them. No special occasion needed whatsoever!

Passionate Purple Soles for a Fearless Autumn

Although there is still some time to wear our sandals, the crisp cool air of chilly mornings and shorter days is gradually approaching. While earth tones are always a staple for fall, I have recently been drawn to the deep luscious tone of purple. Purple suede truly adds an subtle element of luxurious and warmth while still managing to make a BOLD statement!  Purple, plum, eggplant, violet, raspberry…………mmmmmm

This time of year can often relate to a new beginning and fresh thoughts. My mind has been faced with much that has forced me to question my decisions, past and present. Recognizing that life can be confusing and some moments and uncertainties are hard to put into prospective, holding onto self doubt or guilt is not very effective I must try to remind myself!

I will strive to recognize my weaknesses and strengths and to focus on reaching higher and seek opportunities to do what I truly want and be rewarded. Even more to embrace moments and people that are so precious to enter our lives and make us feel alive or smile gallantly on any given day. While being cautious in life is smart, let’s not question ourselves as much. Maybe this is coming from my conscious but I believe this can relate to many aspects of our lives.

I found these Kate Spade lace up heelsabove, with contrasting lizard embossed leather and enchanting deep purple suede to be captivating. These open toe heels are quite perfect to wear right now whether on a still warm September day or paired with jeans or a skirt and a cardigan for a sexy and edgier look.

I don’t normally show handbags but thought it would be fun! This Marc Jacobs satchelis just lovely. Soft supple leather in a glimmering currant.

My running shoes. The soles closest to my heart!

A lovely moment in my NIKES! Yes. That’s me. I know. Do not worry. I am simultaneously brainstorming of the tempting sexy heels to enjoy during this soon to be over summer and the exciting pumps and boots that make me excited about fall. Forgive me for the blurry photo. I felt that the subliminal meaning and significance  took precedence.  I truly do feel amazing and uplifted when in a pair of sexy heels whether alone or knowing that dark and handsome man in mind will turn his head as I walk away. Although, I must dedicate this post to my love for running and how much it means to me and share that feeling with others that are either runners themselves or can relate this thought to what makes them feel empowered, alive and stronger.

It may have become apparent if anyone has read my analogous narratives about heels that delve into much more than the immediate appeal of a shoe but rather the character it exudes whether it be simply added confidence on any given day or the feelings of Lust, romance, love, seduction, flirtation, adventure and energy a sexy heel can evoke. Well, although i may wear my NIKE running shoes for a few hours a day, that time is priceless. I tend to be quite the emotional one. Yes, there are joyful emotions and passion can be a treasured trait I still hope to believe in whether referring to work or love. Although, in stressful times, or times of doubt and uncertainty, those emotions can be a test of strength.

Someone very special to me who I truly am glad to have in my life, reminded me that I need to be strong and despite current roadblocks, to not doubt myself as much.  Well I want to stay strong not only for this special person but for myself and others as well. Many of us have different things that keep help us cope or stay grounded. For me, this is running! Even when in Miami, aside from dancing the night away in my heels and dreaming of soon coming to such a gorgeous beach with the man that holds my hear, half my excitement was to see the city on feet. I sure did. I am still a bit crazy at times but that will not change. That can be a happy me. I love wine and chocolate and all those luscious delights BUT those are indulgences. Running can be both an adrenaline and a sense of calm all at once. I feel the same about yoga regarding a calm state of mind but I’ll save those barefoot journeys for another post to come soon.

Well….. today was a superb warm but mild day with overcast skies and a light breeze. Heaven for a workout outside. I ended up running between 15-16 miles. I know people do run 26.2 all the time but I don’t think I had ever run more than 12 at once and this was not planned. Instead of turning around where I often do, I kept running and then had to run back. Well at a certain point, I decided I was feeling pretty good and just said that even if my legs were getting tired, I could do it. This goes to exemplify that a lot of things are mental and we can convince ourselves too. Yes, I stopped for a breather a few times because that hill heading toward Alpine, NJ was brutal!!! Maybe it was all of these emotions, uncertainties, doubts, guilt and all that can plague us. Alright maybe it was the peanut butter! Ladies. Peanut butter equals energy. Trust me.

Above are my running shoes that I first got in green in the fall. I love everything Nike from the shorts I have in green, purple, yellow, pink……. BUT for a while I thought I could not wear NIKE running shoes because of my wide feet! I was glad to find the Nike Pegasus 27 Bowerman series. They are so comfy for my feet and do not wear down so fast either. Even better, with these shoes, I must finally get that NIKE + gadget I have been longing for. A more precise mileage on days like this would be precious.

Come Alive and Shine in Vivacious Python Pumps

These Sergio Rossi Python Pumps have a radiant glow with silver scalloped edges in a lovely Nude! A fabulous pump for summer into fall any time of day! Seeing these heels makes me want to be a bit more adventurous and veer away from my precious black wrap around ankle sandals.
I love seeking out gorgeous soles and sharing my individual selections while I must note I will take solace that this has also become a mode of expression for me where I will catch myself relating the character of a heel in my opinion to my current state of mind or emotions plaguing me.  I have said it many times. An amazing heel can add prowess to our step and maybe even a little attitude. (By the way, my mode of thought right now is that maybe a little attitude is good. There is this inkling within me that I am afraid of not being nice at times and hold things back) There is this handsome man whose come into my life whose deep eyes and touch drive me crazy. I cannot explain the way he has made me smile at times. I hold this ability to share and give which doesn’t come easy. I will admit that if I wear a pair of heels and he gives me that look of desire and lets me know how great they look, I might not show it right away but will be glowing on the inside and walk away with a stronger stride as walk down the street. Of course, life is bittersweet and never as smooth as we would like it to be. I am unsure what the future holds for various reasons. Likely, I am a bit paranoid but it has occurred to me more than once that when I truly am head over heels for a man, I have an ability be compassionate and sweet even when he has my head spinning. I am thinking that this sweetness is not so effective and wonder if it inadvertently makes men think they do not have to try as hard or take us for granted as with such sweet declarations that are just sincere, they know they already have our hearts. I actually recall him stating how even when I was blatantly upset with him once that he watched me walk away and was in awe of how sexy I looked in my heels while angry at him.  Maybe I should leave him guessing a little more or be less afraid to show when he gets me aggravated. Who really knows!?
The only thing I know for sure is how alive he can make me feel and how priceless moments can be when with him. The Christian Louboutins below surely can not replace the man whose eyes make me melt but oh will they make me smile and stand tall! These soles have a presence that cannot be messed with.

Sultry Heat of Summer! Bare in Chic Nude Hues

I just love these chic, simple and sexy nude Jimmy Choos which provide the ultimate accessory for your soles without having to make a BOLD statement. They are merely classy and extremely versatile for those confident moments when a natural glow is all you need to shine.  I feel I must also confess that while I can truly appreciate shoes as art in various forms, I tend to favor an array of classic colors that wear well with many pieces in our closet.

Yes…..I have been absent recently. Not that I haven’t been scoping out chic sexy shoes that captivate me whether in the elevator at work or in shop windows. Perhaps a bit of a slump causing a lack of creative stamina and well this is honest… It’s been HOT!!! I’ve still been reveling in summer and either striving for more time to have truly naked soles while lying in the sand or admiring the fabulous Almost Naked heels of this sultry summer.

Despite some sightings of luxurious boots and fall previews, summer is still in full swing and my mind has still been on being bare! There are some lovely heels In the Nude and tan leather sandals that have caught my eye.  Not to mention, some great peep toes that will transition well into the fall.

A chic wooden soled peep toe platform pump with a narrow heel! Sure to add height to your stride in jeans or a sexy but sophisticated pencil skirt. I spotted these Classiques Entier pumps in Nordstrom. Tempting for sure.

These Jean-Michel Cazabat sandals with an embedded platform are truly my style and make me want to head right back to Miami and dance the night away! Ankle straps always provide such support and stability allowing you to effortlessly enjoy the day or night whatever the occasion.

I have recently become a big fan of Max Studio shoes and these strappy slingback sandals are no exception. I remember in the past walking into the boutique in Scottsdale Fashion Square attempting to find chiffon pieces on clearance so I already had a love for the clothing with a feminine elegance. The heels are always crafted well with leather soles and some of the most comfortable heels over 3 inches I have worn. I just ordered these from Bloomies because they are on sale for $54. My fingers are crossed that they fit just right! I hope to take a photo op in them while wearing the navy blue April Marin dress I found at the sidewalk sale in Englewood!
